Thrilla Gorilla begins as riders sit in their two-passenger, single wheel car. Each car is connected to the centerpiece, a giant angry gorilla head. There are multiple inclines on the singular circular track. A bar comes down over the rider’s lap for safety.
At first, Thrilla Gorilla begins slow, taking riders around the arena for their first rotation. Every few seconds, riders bounce in the air while going over the inclines. For the next lap, the ride speeds up, completing the rotation in half the time it took to finish the first one. From there, the ride only gets faster, with laps finishing in fractions of the time the first one took. Eventually, Thrilla Gorilla maintains a constant high speed, taking riders around the arena until the ride slows down and stops.
