Monkey Business (Six Flags Discovery Kingdom)

Monkey Business (Six Flags Discovery Kingdom)

Monkey Business (Six Flags Discovery Kingdom) is a triple-spinning teacup ride that guarantees a dizzy, disorienting experience! See if you can walk straight after experiencing this ride.

Ride Experience for Monkey Business (Six Flags Discovery Kingdom)

Like all teacup rides and the variants, Monkey Business puts riders in a teacup (or, in this case, a monkey cauldron) and allows them to make the ride as fast as they want. In the center of each cauldron, there is a wheel that riders can turn to make them spin more quickly. The faster and harder the rider turns the wheel, the quicker the teacup spins. Likewise, the teacup does not spin if the rider decides not to touch the inner wheel.

On Monkey Business, there are two other spinning sources separate from the individual, rider-controlled teacup movement. The first is the wide rotation around the arena. This slow, controlled spin affects all riders in their teacups. The second is the smaller, faster-spinning circles underneath every three teacups that make them spin quickly. With the three spinning motions happening simultaneously, Monkey Business becomes a chaotic experience.

In total, the ride duration for Monkey Business is approximately 3 minutes.
