Los Festivales

Los Festivales is the entrance area to Six Flags Fiesta Texas. Dedicated to the rich Spanish culture vital to San Antonio, Los Festivales is home to two of the park’s most popular rollercoasters, Goliath and Boomerang Coast to Coaster.

#1 – Goliath

Goliath at Six Flags Fiesta Texas is the first rollercoaster and ride you will see upon entering the park from the gates. Goliath is a max thrill level ride with multiple inversions, a medium-level maximum speed, and a relatively long duration time for a rollercoaster. With a G-Force level of 4.0, Goliath will feel quite intense for those less accustomed to rollercoasters.

Unlike what its name implies, Goliath is neither the tallest rollercoaster nor has anywhere near the highest drop in Six Flags Fiesta Texas. Therefore, Goliath is perfect for those looking for a rollercoaster that’s not too scary but still a lot of fun. In other words, it’s the ideal coaster to start your day at the park.

Goliath Ride Experience

Goliath begins with riders leaving the station and immediately going up the chain lift hill. After reaching the top, riders drop 80 ft on a slight right angle, reaching the top speed of 50 mph, followed immediately by entering the first inversion, a vertical loop.

After the vertical loop, riders instantly enter the second inversion, a zero-G roll, followed by the third inversion, another vertical loop. Riders make a wide right turn in an upward helix, followed by a wide left turn that leads to the fourth and fifth inversions, double corkscrews.

Riders make a sharp right turn that leads to a brake run that takes them back to the station, ending the ride.

Goliath Height Requirements

Riders must be at least 54″ to ride Goliath.

Goliath Average Wait Times

You can expect a 10-20 minute wait for this ride.

#2 – Boomerang Coast to Coaster

Considered the centerpiece of Los Festivales, Boomerang Coast to Coaster at Six Flags Fiesta Texas is a rollercoaster located in three other Six Flags parks around America, including Six Flags Discovery Kingdom, Six Flags Darien Lake, and Elitch Gardens..

Boomerang has a ride duration of 1:48, a G-Force level of 5.2, and a speed of 47 mph. Because of its shorter runtime and the limited number of inversions, Boomerang is a moderate-level thrill ride. What makes Boomerang unique is that you experience the ride both forward and backward!

After a few moments, the train drops forward, taking riders back through the station at 47 mph. Past the station, riders immediately enter the first inversion, a cobra roll, followed by the second inversion, a vertical loop.

The vertical loop leads to riders climbing a parallel 116 ft chain lift hill next to the first one. At the peak, riders are dropped backward and proceed through the course once more before they reach the station, ending the ride.

Boomerang Coast to Coaster Height Requirements

Riders must be at least 48″ to ride Boomerang Coast to Coaster.

Crackaxle Canyon Screampunk District

Designed after a 1920s Texas boomtown, Crackaxle Canyon is home to various rides, including the iconic Iron Rattler, the ride where you’re guaranteed to get soaked, Gully Washer, and the ride called the steepest dive coaster in the world, Dr. Diabolical’s Cliffhanger. Crackaxle Canyon is also where you go if you want to enter the Six Flags Fiesta Texas water park, White Water Bay.

#3 – Dr. Diabolical’s Cliffhanger

Dr. Diabolical’s Cliffhanger at Six Flags Fiesta Texas is the steepest dive coaster in the world, with a beyond-vertical drop at 95 degrees. Cliffhanger also is one of the only Six Flags Fiesta Texas rollercoaster’s with an original theme.

In the queue for the ride, you’ll meet Dr. Diabolical, an evil mad scientist who wants to take over the world with her creations. According to her, she created a machine (the ride) to capture human screams and adrenaline, which helps bring her monsters to life. Dr. Diabolical will talk to riders and specific parts of the attraction during the ride.

Dr. Diabolical’s Cliffhanger is a ride more suitable for those comfortable with rollercoasters than newer riders. Though there aren’t many inversions, Cliffhanger tests the riders’ courage by pushing the limit regarding their fear of heights. But for those brave enough, Dr. Diabolical’s Cliffhanger is one of the most fun rides at Six Flags Fiesta Texas.

Immediately after the drop, riders enter the first inversion, a cobra roll. Following the cobra roll, riders enter the second inversion, a corkscrew. After the corkscrew, riders enter a mid-course brake run where Dr. Diabolical speaks again. Either way, everyone on the raft will get drenched. The result is one of the most hilarious rides in the park, even if you ride with complete strangers.

Gully Washer also provides one of the most beautiful views in the park. The ride is as if you are flowing down a river at the bottom of a quarry. You are constantly surrounded by nature, at times moving under wooden bridges, and finally receiving one of the best views of Iron Rattler.
