Monsoon Falls (Six Flags Discovery Kingdom)
If you want to cool off on a hot day during the Summer and Spring seasons, head over to Monsoon Falls! Monsoon Falls is a flume boat ride with the longest drop of any water ride at Six Flags Discovery Kingdom. Whether you get on the ride or watch others go down the drop from the nearby bridge, you are sure to get soaked!
Ride Experience for Monsoon Falls (Six Flags Discovery Kingdom)
Monsoon Falls begins when riders leave the station and ascend up a 50 ft tall wooden conveyor belt hill in their flume boat. The flume boat is large, containing five rows able to hold four adult passengers per row.
Once at the top of the hill, riders make a slow wide left turn that gives them a great view of the Flash and the Joker rides. At the end of the wide turn is the finale of Monsoon Falls, a 60 ft drop into the pool below that creates a massive wave. This wave soaks all passengers in the flume boat and the watchers on the queue bridge overlooking the drop. Riders make a slow left turn back to the station, ending the ride.
